Each camera can hold up to 4 total batteries and we sell additional batteries on our sales site. The cameras can be up to 300 ft. from the Wi-Fi NVR with line of sight. Q: Question. My battery only lasts about 3 to 4 days and we have to recharge we purchase 6 extra batteries and it still dies very quickly what can we do to increase the life of the battery so we do not have to keep climbing to change it at least once or twice a week

• A:Answer This system has includes an NVR, not a DVR. The recording settings allow you to set the device to automatic overwrite or to stop when the hard drive is full.

• A:Answer Hi Matt. That is a default feature that allows the cameras to conserve battery life when motion is not being detected. If you want to see live view, you can simply click the play icon to begin seeing live view. When set to motion record, that is the default. We do sell Wi-Fi IP cameras that are compatible with your recorder that do not have that feature and will display live view 24/7. • A:Answer You can use the HDMI port and provided HDMI cable to connect the Wi-Fi NVR to a tv or monitor. If you want to connect more than 1 monitor, you would need to use an HDMI splitter which you can purchase from an electronics store. Thank you!

Q: QuestionHow many batteries are included with each camera? Is the stated battery life (6 mo. with 2 batteries, 12 mo. with 4 batteries) rated for 24/7/365 usage? Can an additional hard drive be installed by the end user? Any zoom capability?

• A:Answer 1) We include 2 batteries with each wire free camera. 2) You are correct on the stated battery life - up to 6 months with 2 batteries and up to 12 months with 4. However, no that is not 24/7 recording. 24/7 recording would eat through the battery life at a much faster rate. The listed battery life is using the default record setting which is Human Detection. 3) Yes, you can upgrade the HDD or install an external HDD. Please see the product manual at the following link for more information (https://support.nightowlsp.com/hc/en-us/articles/360059184553). 4) You can digitally zoom in, but will experience some pixelation. These cameras are fixed lens and do not have optical zoom capability. Thank you!

Q: QuestionI purchased a 3 camera kit and wanted to ad an extra 3 cameras with a doorbell that I purchased. The system will allow me to add only 4 cameras, the door bell but not the cameras. My system is 10 channel. How do I add the other wirefree cameras?

Q: QuestionYou say the cameras pause to save battery life. I wish I knew that when I bought the system. How long will the video feed when you un-pause the camera? What type of motion makes the cameras active, blowing branches, leaves, animals?

• A:Answer Hi Mark. This system uses human detection technology. When human motion is detected your cameras will unpause to show live footage and a recording will be generated. The cameras also have facial capture and you will receive facial capture alerts to your Smart Device when a face is detected. Q: QuestionMy cameras keep pausing. Not viewing live at all. Have to go unpause them every couple minutes. Tried changing the settings but can’t get it fixed.

When motion is not occurring within the camera's field of view, the image will pause so there is no drain on the batteries.
