• A:Answer Night Owl's wired cameras are intended for indoor and outdoor use. When installing the cameras outside, we recommend placing them under some type of minimal protection such as an eave or awning. The cameras are weather-resistant, not waterproof (meaning they cannot be submerged under water). If they are overexposed to the elements it will reduce their lifespan. The same is true of our cabling. Q: QuestionNew to wifi xfinity tv, phone and iPad but would like to connect older computer, would this cable make that possible? Would also need something to replace current windows 7 with something other than windows, suggestions? Thanks.

• A:Answer Yes, but overexposure to the elements will reduce its lifespan. Often we recommend that you wrap the cable connection with electrical tape and run the cable through small plastic PVC pipe before burying, for outdoor installation.
