The Night Owl – 1080p HD Wi-Fi IP Camera with Built-In Spotlight does provide motion notifications through the Night Owl Protect App, but some delay is normal depending on Wi-Fi speed and network traffic. If you’re looking for near real-time alerts with minimal lag, we recommend one of our wired DVR or NVR systems. Since they’re hardwired, the video feed and notifications are faster and more consistent compared to Wi-Fi-only cameras.
