Hi there! Night Owl wired security systems are designed for DIY installation, so professional installation isn’t required (though it’s always an option if you prefer). The cameras connect to the DVR using BNC cables (included in the box). These cables provide both video and power, so you only need one line per camera. To run them outdoors, most customers: Route the cables through a small hole in a wall or soffit, Or run them through an attic, crawl space, or conduit for a clean and weather-protected setup.
