“I had seen something about heat and motion detection for recording , does this system have this ? Can you turn off the heat detection , as most of my cameras would be out of range to sense body heat or something like that to trigger a record or alarm .”

PIR - Passive infrared(heat detection) + motion detection. yes you can turn off the PIR for each camera by going to cameras in the main menu and unchecking the PIR box.

Additionally, the infrared detection can be deactivated for select cameras within the DVR menu. Though, this is not recommended. The true benefit of this system is the Dual Sensors and the reduction in false alerts. If a person, animal or vehicle enters within 30 ft. of the camera, the event will be recorded and you will receive an alert of your smart device. Thank you for choosing Night Owl!
