“Will this DVR work with an antenna for local channels or do you have to have tv with your Internet connection to use it? I have a smart tv. Trying to reduce my monthly digital expenses with minimum sacrifice.”

Hi Karen. This is a security DVR, to be used with compatible Night Owl security cameras. It is not intended to be used with tv recordings. You would need to contact your cable provider for that. Thank you for the question!
