“If the cameras are plugged in, will the DVR still record with the cameras if the DVR isn't plugged in, if I unplug the DVR for 10 mins will the cameras record that 10 mins?”

The Night Owl DVR requires power for it to be able to record anything that the cameras capture. We would recommend using a battery back up for the DVR and the cameras to prevent the system from not recording if the system was to lose power.
