Good Afternoon. I am not certain what you are asking. Yes, your DVR must be manually connected to a Modem/router for remote viewing. Please feel free to contact our 24/7 tech support to troubleshoot connectivity at 1-866-390-1303.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I believe that is your only option. There is no WIFi in this device. You can hard wire it to a hub/switch or if it needs to be remote (shop or outbuildings) I've used a WiFI extender. Plug the network cable into the DVR and into the extender (type with ports in it) and the extender relays it to the main WiFi as long as it's in range.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I googled Linksys plug in port but I am not sure I understnad what you mean. The ethernet port needs a connection to the internet, you can use a powerline adapter as long as it has internet connection. This is the way the software sends the live feed to the app on your cell phone.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I see no reason why a hard wired connection would not work. I hard wired to my wi-fi router and hard wired to my wi-fi extender , both worked great. This unit has no wi-fi connection. Hope this helps.
