Do I need to purchase a monitor null

Yes. The base has vga and hdmi out, you will need a monitor for setup. I have it connectrd to my tv through my stereo system hdmi. usb mouse is also included. After that, the mobile app can be used to viiew events. There is no pc/mac app or web imtrface.

You will need to connect this system to a TV or monitor for initial setup and to access the system's advanced features. However, once setup is complete, you do not have to have it connected to a monitor. Thank you for choosing Night Owl!
