Good Afternoon Chad, the Night Owl system will work without an internet connection. You will be able to view recordings and live feed locally via the DVR. In order to be able to view the system from your smart device, you will require an internet connection for the Night Owl DVR. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You can still use the DVR to record and store the data, but you cant use you phone to view the cameras remotely using your cell phone. To do so you need internet connected to the cameras. So yes you can use the system to survey without internet and no you can not monitor your home with your cell phone without internet connected to the system.
