“I just purchased the Night Owl DVR-X3-81-JF. I want to be able to view it remotely with my cell phone. It shows network connectivity by Ethernet however my cable modem is not near the dvr. Is there another way to connect the dvr to the modem, no cable.”

• Unfortunately, no. The DVR will have to be hardwired to your router using Ethernet cable. The kit comes with a 6 ft cable, but you can purchase a longer cable to bridge the connection. Thank you for choosing Night Owl!
