Can this be hooked to a monitor without a recorder? null

Thank you for the question and happy to help. This camera is an add-on camera made for additional coverage for compatible systems. It does require a recorder to connect and then can be viewed on a monitor or via mobile app. We do however offer other standalone IP cameras that do allow for no recorder to use.
