This lens works with Nikon f mount. If you want to calculate the actual lens numbers, Nikon uses a 1.5 factor for the crop sensor. Multiply the 18, and the 140 by 1.5, and you'll get the mm that the sensor will see. Don't forget to multiply the f stop numbers by the 1.5 as well.

The effective field of view is 1.5x for a D7000, which has Nikon's APS-C sized DX-type sensor. So you would need to multiply the 18-140 by 1.5 - giving you an effective field of view, at the wide end of 27mm.
