• The 18-300mm 5.6 uses a 77mm filter, the 18-300mm 6.3 uses a 67mm filter. Not a question of old or new but the 5.6 lens is a larger diameter and uses a 77mm filter compared to the smaller diameter 6.3 lens which uses a 67mm filter.
