Will this give me really close up shots? null

This isn't really a close up lens. I have better luck with my 18-55mm lens. If you really want great Macro or close up shots get close up filters. They work like any other filter and have different magnifications. They can be used individually or stacked. I found a Vivitar set of four for $20, it's been the best purchase I have made.
