is this a good lens to use for sports? I need a new lens to take indoor sports shots with, would this be a good lens? light indoor is pretty poor, & can not use a flash.

For wide shots. It's a fast lens so it does well in low light. If you want close action you may want to consider another lens.

The 35mm lens is perfect for low light conditions. You will be able to keep your ISO low enough not to get noise in your shots. Make sure you keep your aperture low and shutter speed high to get those action shots. Good luck with your shoot:).
