The lens on the AW130 is a different lens than what was incorporated on the AW100. Both are 5x optical zoom, however, the AW130 lens has a "faster" aperture at wide angle than the AW100. Better for taking shots in lower light situations - the lens will let in more light when shooting at wide angle.
