If you set the P900 to Continuous L and not Continuous H, your frame rate drops to 2 frames per second, however, you can shoot up to 200 shots at that frame rate when the image quality is set to Normal and image size is set to 4608×3456.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Look in the menu for the great selection of shooting modes and you can select a 16 shot burst and even a pre-shooting cache. Also, you can lower the burst rate and I'd advise using a really fast memory card to offset the buffering. Almost all but the very high end cameras encounter buffering delay/write to the camera.

The Continuous H settings offers 120 fps (frames per second) at a fixed image size of VGA 620x480. This will allow a maximum of 60 continuous shots. An SD card with a class of 6 or higher is recommended for this model camera.
