Turn the dial to Scene Mode, press Menu button and scroll down to Party/indoor. Then press OK button. That works fairly well.

To use one that doesn’t involve the flash try either the Party/Indoor Scene or Sports Scene in Scene Mode. Sports Scene is perfect for capturing fast movements as it takes up to 7 frames per second continuously when the shutter button is pressed.
