It is a great camera, especially for the sale price, I am sure there is a newer version coming out. The macro lens is available for purchase at Best Buy and is perfect for taking pictures of flowers, still life, and portraits (both people and domestic animals). The 18-55 is a good starter wider angle lens to assist you with your architecture shots. As far as snapping a bubble blowing in the wind - make sure you have a fast shutter speed and plenty of light if you intend on freezing motion.
