The D3300 is an excellent DSLR for video. It can take FULL HD video at up to 60fps. You can chose 24, 25, 30, or 50 fps if your workflow requires that. Using a DSLR for video also opens you up to wide selection of lenses that allow you to control your depth of field. This will enable you to get more professional looking video. The 18-55 will be an excellent lens to use for video, especially if your subjects are people, pets, etc...
