The D3500 camera body does not have in-camera Vibration Reduction (image stabilization). The lenses that you attach tot he camera - namely, the 18-55 VR Lens that is in this kit - will have Vibration Reduction (image stabilization).

I looked elsewhere and read that the D3500 has only "limited compatibility." In testing shooting video, we experienced significant camera shake, making the video experience less than favorable. This anomaly had to be adjusted during the editing process in iMovie or Final Cut Pro. Why isn't something as basic as camera shake/VR provided on the D3500, if it's advertised as being 'easy to use' while shooting video? If we had known this beforehand, we would have upgraded to a higher-end camera. At this price point, VR should be included. I feel we were misled.

Vibration Reduction (VR) is an image stabilization technology that minimizes blur caused by camera shake and can be found in specific NIKKOR lenses.
