The Nikon D3500 Digital SLR can auto-focus and is fully compatible with all AF-S and AF-P lenses with G and E type apertures. Older AF lenses will fit on this camera, however AF lenses with D type apertures will not be able to auto-focus. You will have to manually focus any AF lenses and Non-CPU lenses.
