“How does this wifi connection work? I saw in the tutorial of the 3300 that the wireless adapter shares the images instantly to a smart device (within an app I guess). But does this built in wifi work in the same way? I mean real time sharing”

The Nikon D5500 DSLR camera has built-in WiFi that can transfer images to a compatible smart device running the Wireless Mobile Utility (WMU) application. Once the WMU app is downloaded on a compatible smart device and opened, the camera can easily transfer images as they are taken either remotely with the smart device or with the camera itself.
