There are hardly any differences between the 5500 and 5600. Heck, even the 5300 is pretty close in features with these two. The only considerable difference IMO is the touchscreen and slightly better battery life of these two over the D5300. If you ask me, you should save the couple hundred bucks and get the D5300 and maybe use that to get yourself an extra lens :)
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.D5500 can't connect wifi photo tranfer and can't do time laps. And there might be one other thing but as far as quality and processors, All the same. Also the d5500 don't have remote monitoring..... meaning you can't set a camera down on a tripod and watch on your cell phone and take a pic/vid and see what it's doing and control you camera with your phone.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There is not a diff in performance other that the d5500 can't connect wifi to you devices like your cell phone but you can just get a wifi adapter to put in the camera, but if your like me I'd like to have it already build in..
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I believe the biggest difference is the new touch screen, which makes life a lot easier when you are navigating menu options.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Most of the features of the camera are similar. However, the Nikon 5600 supports NFC Connection (better wireless connectivity) and also supports Bluetooth connectivity.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.
