“Saw a post that said a VR II lens uses ONLY a HB-37 lens hood? Also VR lens uses ONLY a HB-34 lens hood? If, so why include two different lens VERSIONS lens in a bundle? So someone wishing to protect their camera must purchase TWO Lens hoods? WOW $$$$”

The Nikon D7100 DSLR camera kit shown here comes with a HB-57 Snap-on Type lens hood for the Nikon AF-S DX NIKKOR 55-300mm f/4.5-5.6G ED VR lens. This helps to reduce stray light which can cause flare. This kit also comes with a LC-52 Snap-on Front Lens Cap 52mm for the AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR II lens and a LC-58 Snap-on Front Lens Cap for the AF-S 55-300mm lens, along with rear caps for both, to provide protection when not in use. An HB-69 Bayonet Lens Hood can be purchased separately from the kit to keep flare from entering the AF-S 18-55mm lens when shooting.
