To transfer images from your camera to a computer use an appropriate USB cable for connection to an open and working port. The appropriate cable for the Nikon D7100 is the UC-E6 USB cable. An SD card that is taken out of the camera can also be used to transfer images to your computer, just place the SD card in a card reader slot.
