These two cameras and all three lenses are quite different from one another. When looking at them as kits they both have benefits; the Nikon D7100 kit gives you a camera that offers 51 points of focus, exposure bracketing of 2 to 5 frames and a maximum shutter speed of 1/8000 seconds. It also has an option for WiFi with an optional WU-1a Wireless Mobile Adapter that will allow it to connect with any compatible smart device running the Wireless Mobile Utility (WMU) application. This D7100 kit comes with two DX lenses, the Nikon AF-S 18-55mm and the Nikon 55-300mm. Both these lenses are VR lenses which use technology to help prevent blur. In comparison, the Nikon D5600 kit provides the user with more scenes/special effects for more options of creative expression and is fully compatible with AF-P, AF-S and E-type lenses. In addition, it has SnapBridge technology that allows the camera to be connected to any compatible smart device running the SnapBridge application. This camera comes with a Nikon AF-S 18-140mm lens that is optimized for DX-format cameras to provide super-sharp images in high resolution.
