Camera models sold by Best Buy, as Nikon USA authorized dealer will have a Nikon USA warranty only. The camera and the lens can be serviced by Nikon for a period of one year, provided no sand, water or impact damage. Because the lens was purchased through a NikonUSA authorized dealer, it will receive an addition 4 years of coverage for a total of 5 years. While a service facility outside the USA will service the camera with your proof of purchase, they will charge for the repair.
