The Nikon D750 DSLR is a high performance camera that's fast and responsive and will allow you to capture exceptional astral images. For capturing nighttime sky images with this camera it's recommended you use a wide-angle lens with a focal length of 35mm or shorter. A wider angle, coupled with a low aperture of 2.8 or less, will allow you to capture stunning night skyscapes. You will also need a sturdy tripod. For lenses that will provide you with sharp and vivid details of the nighttime sky check out the Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 14-24mm f/2.8G ED Ultra-Wide Zoom lens or the Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 20mm f/1.8G ED Ultra Wide Angle Lens; these lenses are ideal for getting expansive vistas of the night sky as well as a variety of other subjects.
