“Best Buy website added a rechargeable battery pack to list of "Things people buy with this item". So I buy it (SONY NPFW50) for $45 but when the camera arrives, The battery compartment is keyed for 4 AA batteries. Manual does not show thist. ?????”

The B500 takes 4 AA type batteries. LR6/L40 alkaline, FR6/L91 lithium, and EN-MH2 rechargeable Ni-MH type AA batteries can be used.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I think that battery pack is a website flaw I called before purchasing this camera and was advised it took 4 AA batteries. I then purchased 2 sets of rechargeable AA batteries which where fairly cheap and have been happy with that. I recommend always doing a little more research beyond recommended because if people just purchase things the computer my analyze it for this item even though they are purchasing it for another reason.
