QuestionBest Buy website added a rechargeable battery pack to list of "Things people buy with this item". So I buy it (SONY NPFW50) for $45 but when the camera arrives, The battery compartment is keyed for 4 AA batteries. Manual does not show thist. ?????

- Answer The B500 takes 4 AA type batteries. LR6/L40 alkaline, FR6/L91 lithium, and EN-MH2 rechargeable Ni-MH type AA batteries can be used.

- Answer The camera came in a all white box, which it's not the original box, and it does say "refurbished product". There's also a little paper from nikon saying it's refurbished. It seems like this came directly from nikon.

- Answer The Nikon COOLPIX B500 digital camera does not have a compatible remote release accessory. For a remote shutter release option, connect the camera to a compatible smart device that's running the SnapBridge application via the camera's built-in Bluetooth and Wi-Fi technology. This camera has a 16-megapixel backside illuminated CMOS sensor that allows images to be captured in low-lit situations and is super light-weight at only 19.1 ounces (or 542 grams) with battery and memory card installed, making it highly portable. The B500 camera doesn't have a viewfinder but does have a tilting TFT-LCD with Anti-reflection coating screen that can be adjusted for brightness on 5 levels.

- Answer Nikon Cameras, like the Coolpix B500, were not designed to be supported as webcams. Nikon does not make software that can allow for this use.
