Both the Nikon SB-700 and SB-5000 each offer the same wireless Commander Mode with an ability to use up to 3 Groups and 4 Channels. The SB-5000 goes one step beyond this with an option for radio control, however, that option is currently only available with the D500 and D5 camera. The SB-700 is highly portable and i-TTL-optimized to provide excellent exposure for all your images, even in challenging light situations. However, the SB-5000 is not to be under-rated as it has a mount flash cooling system that allows it to fire consecutively, handling more than 100 firings at full output while you're in continuous shooting mode. Both of these flashes have a lot to offer; which one you choose will be determined by which best suits your needs as a photographer.
