Q: QuestionIs this compatible with a Nikon D750?(3 answers)
A: AnswerYes the manual states it is compatible with D750. D750 does not support radio trigger, but you could use optical control for line of sight trigger. The SB5000 is smaller and more powerful than the SB910 it works great on my D850, D810 and D700.Answered by Chata
Q: QuestionIs this compatible with the Nikon D5600?(1 answer)
A: AnswerYes, the SB-5000 AF Speedlight is compatible with the Nikon D5600 Digital SLR Camera.Answered by NikonStaff
Q: QuestionWhich flash would you recommend for the D7100? The SB-5000 AF or the SB-910 and why?(2 answers)
A: AnswerBoth the SB-5000 and the SB-910 are compatible with the D7100, and either would be a good choice for this camera. The SB-5000 is Nikon’s newest Speedlight, and replaces the SB-910 as our flagship Speedlight. The SB-5000 Speedlight features a new internal cooling system, which prevents overheating of the flash panel from consecutive firings. As a result, the SB-5000 can fire consecutively for longer than conventional models, without flash cool-down time between bursts, and can fire up to 120 continuous shots at 5 second intervals. The SB-5000 is also smaller than the SB-910 and features more streamlined controls. The SB-5000 and the SB-910 are both part of Nikon’s Creative Lighting System and can be triggered remotely (optically) using the D7100’s built-in flash. The SB-500 also features a radio control option, but this feature is not supported by the D7100.Answered by NikonStaff
Q: QuestionIs this compatible with D7000 and D7100?(1 answer)
A: AnswerThe SB-5000 AF Speedlight is fully compatible with Nikon's Creative Lighting system and is therefore compatible with both the Nikon D7000 and Nikon D7100. Keep in mind, however, the SB-5000's radio control feature will be unavailable with these two cameras as this feature is only able to be used with radio-control capable DSLRs like the D500 or D7500.Answered by NikonStaff
- A: AnswerYes. The Nikon D7500 DSLR camera is capable of remotely triggering up to 3 groups of radio-controlled SB-5000 speedlights when using an optional WR-R10 Wireless Remote Controller.
Answered by NikonStaff
- A: AnswerYou'd need an SU-800 to do that, or another SB-5000 in Master Mode.

If it’s not bright enough, then nothing is!!
I can’t say enough about how good this flash is. There really isn’t anything that it can’t do and I feel like I haven’t even come close to truly using it. My only really complaint is that it’s just a little outdated. It doesn’t exactly feel outdated it just is. It’s also not quite as rugged as other Nikon accessories. Don’t get me wrong, it’s very durable. Probably more so than a lot of other flashes. It’s just not as durable. I’m honestly just being picky though. If you haven’t already bought it then do it. Don’t make the mistake of saving money.

Awesome upgrade
Upgrading from a sb700 and preforms awesome on my D810. Back panel layout is user friendly. Worth the expense that I put off for sometime considering cheaper options. Hub store made walk in and walk out purchase a breeze.

Worth the $
I tried cheap style flash for years but knew I needed something better for doing events. For on camera flash this is the brightest I've used so far. Super bright with lots of controls and super fast refresh. It's worth the $ if you're a pro or semi pro. It's not as bright as one of those heavy ones with a curtain however, it will still surprise you.
