Will this work with a D5100? null

It does not work with the D5100, I have that camera as well.

The Nikon WU-¬1a Wireless Mobile Adapter does not work with the Nikon D5100 DSLR camera as that camera body does not have wireless transfer options. Instead, to have wireless options with the Nikon D5100, try an Eye-Fi memory card. Supported cards are as listed: 2GB SD Eye-Fi Card "Share", 4GB SDHC "Share Video" and 8GB SDHC "Pro X2" product categories.
