Yes it can. We use this to make humus. As for
Peanuts almonds it will grind them down but not like a spice blender. 
You can buy the spice blender top separately.

Yes, I use Ninja for nuts/ beans grinding. I have been using it from 7-8 months, It works perfectly, No complain so far.

This is a great question. Yes the Ninja Mega Kitchen System (model# BL770) blend/grind any nuts, beans and seeds you like. You can use the single serve cup to do so or even the regular pitcher. Hope this helps!
