Yes, the blender will be ideal for hummus. It does a great job with making smooth sauces and dips - I make cashew cream all the time with mine. I tend to chop my items for guacamole by hand because I like mine chunky, but could see the food processor could be useful for your guac - at least for the onions and jalapeños but possibly all of the ingredients. If you like yours super creamy, it would be easy.
