“My Luxe CafePro 4 in 1 Espresso maker is using a lot of water per cup of coffee or tea. For every 10 oz of coffee, I get 2-3 oz of water in the drain tray. When using the hot water option there are 2-3 oz of water drained into the tray. Is this normal?”

That does not sound normal unless you are using the frother and it is cleaning itself after each use. I generally get 7-8 10 oz drinks from a tank and have to drain the tray only if I've used the frother frequently.
