Yes, the main blade in the Big mixer easily separates for cleaning, and the individual smoothie blade is super easy to clean. Just be careful as these blades are sharp as knives.

Great question Debbied! Yes, Please use caution when handling the blade assemblies as the blades are very sharp. NOTE: You may also wash the containers by filling ¾of the container with warm water and a drop of dish washing detergent, placing the corresponding lid on the container and pressing the pulse button a few times. The blade is easily detached by lifting it directly out of the tumbler and is not open from the bottom.
