QuestionWhy did my blender come with the wrong type of plug? I've only seen it come with a large 3-button power surge plug in review videos. Is this just an older version of the same model?

- Answer We also have a Ninja blender, and this saves us quite a bit of time making "green smoothies" daily. It does a much better job chopping greens.

- Answer Yes, raw everything! I made a beef stew and it cooked the meat perfectly. I know others who have this that have made the chicken soup- put everything in raw and voila, 30 mins later you've got tasty homemade soup. Ninja included a recipe booklet to help get your started; I highly recommend joining the Facebook "Ninja Foodi Cold & Hot Blender" food group, we exchange recipes there and if you've got a cooking question someone will jump on within minutes (usually) to answer you. Great people there!

- Answer Call Vitamix Customer Service. Compare manufacturers price to what you find on eBay, Amazon, etc But, you could get a large glass pitcher at Good Will, Salvation Army or Value Village and save money. Repurposing used gear is the green thing to do.

- Answer Yes. The ice cream function's 2nd row, 2nd from the left. As far as the outlet goes, the plug is compatible with today's modern electric technology, so I'd guess yes. I've got mine hooked up to a surge protector.
