A:AnswerThe heating element has a timer which, I believe, is set to 4 hours. You can hit the "warm" button (once to turn off the element, and once to turn it back on) if you want to reset the element timer.

A:AnswerThere is a 1-4 cup brew setting. If you want to brew between 4 and a full carafe, just pour in the amount you want to brew. This machine doesn't include the automatic water maker, nor does it have a direct plumbing attachment, so there's no way for it to continue brewing after the tank is empty.
