This question was asked about the related product: Nintendo - New 3DS XL - Black
- A:Answer I bought it for my 4 year old grandson. He’s normal size for his age and has no problems with it in regards to size. I think it’s pricey and in 2D the display is kind of hazy. I didn’t get 2D model because it didn’t fold closed.

Q: QuestionIs it worth the extra $50 to get the 3d version? Trying to decide between the 3D xl and the 2D xl. Help!
Asked by Sunygirl.
- A:Answer The actual feeling of the 3D effect differs from one individual to another, some feel sick or eyesore, and I'm totally fine even for hours. Generally if you believe yourself to feel sick of 3D games less frequently and do not plan to play for long hours, the 3D effect is worth a try. But if you often find yourself giving up 3D games out of psychological reasons, then perhaps save money is a better choice. ANOTHER factor is what games you plan to play, some games, especially ones with less "action" and ones that use overlook view, do not give 3D effects a great stage for you to enjoy. For example, Xenoblade and Monster Hunter are great in 3D, while 3D in Kirby: Triple Deluxe and Rune Factory 4 don't feel that cool in the few hours I've just started. Pokémon kind of goes between, there are systems designed for 3D, but mostly you just choose actions in rounds. To sum up, I think 3D effects are a good thing to try, but there's no guarantee that you won't feel sick about it or the games you play may simply don't make much differences between 2D/3D.

Q: QuestionTn, single or duel ips display?
Asked by Flowergirl.
- A:Answer Unfortunately, both were TN on mine. Not sure this is standard for the galaxy or not. Compared it to two older 3dsxl's we have which are both dual IPS. I got the galaxy on sale, would not pay full price. The difference affects contrast and depth of color, although the most annoying is the limited viewing angle.

Q: QuestionCan you play DS lite games on this console? or do you have to buy games specific to the 3ds?
Asked by Nubbles.
- A:Answer I'm not exactly sure for Lite or something, but I bought a DS game (Chrono Trigger) and it's a plug-and-play. All DS, 2DS, 3DS are supposed to be supported, I believe.
