• Honestly? Probably not. No, they're not hall-effect, but reviews are saying they feel amazingly smooth and Nintendo has said they've redesigned the sticks from the ground up to, among other things, prevent drift. The OG pro controllers didn't have as bad of a drift problem as the joycons, either, so I wouldn't worry about this.

• Unfortunately, I have seen some drift in mine after 6 months, although it seems to have been fixed by re-calibrating the controller in the settings.
