Q: Question$85 dollars for a controller.... $80+ dollars for the games.... $10 dollar upgrades for older games? Nintendo has fallen from grace. I am a fan but not when the Japanese people are paying $100 dollars less for the console. 1983-1985 ring a bell?

• A:Answer The “cheaper” version sold in Japan is region and language locked to Japanese and Japanese accounts as the value of the Japanese Yen is currently very weak and they want their home audience to have a fair chance to play the Switch 2 with their income while being able to avoid scalpers. There is a region/language free console also available for a similar value as the Switch 2 in other countries, which is out of scope for most people in Japan.

• A:Answer Honestly? Probably not. No, they're not hall-effect, but reviews are saying they feel amazingly smooth and Nintendo has said they've redesigned the sticks from the ground up to, among other things, prevent drift. The OG pro controllers didn't have as bad of a drift problem as the joycons, either, so I wouldn't worry about this.
