The switch lite comes with everything you need to play games. It also includes a charger. You do not need joy cons, as the controls are built in. Yes you can play Minecraft with your friends as long as they are playing on Nintendo switch or somewhere that supports cross play.

Please try again later.This model of the switch does not come with detachable joycons, Also, you can play games right off of this device, an additional nintendo switch is not needed. Charger should come in the box as well. So in conclusion, all you will need would be a screen protector and a carrying case to keep it safe, and then some games. Everything else that you would need should come in the box.
