Hi yes all they need is the code and they enter that on their account in the nitendo store on the switch where it says redeem code. However whichever account it is placed on would be the head of the family membership.

If you bought the family one eight people can use it so the three of you can use it. One person is an admin and gets on my nintendo account and sends invites thru email. Then the others accept thru email link and log on their nintendo accounts and accept the family invitations. Up to seven invites for 8 members total if you bought the family membership. If you bought the individual plan then only one of them can use it. They better rock paper scissors it.
