There are 2 pieces to the mount. One piece mounts to the back of the TV. One piece to the wall. The piece that mounts to the back of the TV is 4 screws and fixed. Can't adjust it besides the tilting. Although, two mounting pieces when connected together does allow very slight adjustments (like 1-3 degrees) to make sure the TV is horizontal. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It does not move side to side. It’s stationary. You actually rock the TV to position once attached. Also be aware that your furthest stud points are 16 inches apart I had studs 18 inches apart so I had to use drywall anchors and they do not come in the package, I had to purchase separately at ACE. I wish the mounting bar was longer to accommodate studs further apart so that I could also have centered the TV on my wall. After those headaches were resolved it looks great on the wall. The TV is truly sitting on wall with out any gaps.
