I don't get why the pricing is $150 difference for activate now vs activate later. I'm on at&t, i should be able buy the cheaper version and when it arrives just swap out my sim cards. What is the difference? null

It is a gimmick to the sales process that seems cannot be avoided. I had to pay $50.00 activated or not, yet the phone was boldly advertised as $449.00; I already had service, so "activation" is swapping the SIM. Stupid gimmick on Best Buy's part.

Activation is done through Best Buy, not Nokia. You can purchase the unlocked device and use your AT&T sim without a problem.
