• Mine stays on as it remains plugged to power. I guess you might want to unplug it so that the screen can go off. It's a great product so far. I have had it for a little over 3 months. Hope this helps

• Unfortunately no. One of the things that irritates me about this model. The screen stays on. It dims but it doesn’t go off unless you flip the switch to off on the base, or unplug it
