While I appreciate the insight, the answer provided did not answer the question about the differences in software. I’m not worried about customer support at this point, but I am concerned that Avanquest might have additional software installed in their versions since they are based in France, while NordVPN is based in Panama.

I spent 2 days going back and forth with Nord and they said they could not help me. I also came to the realization that there chat people are not good techs. They want a screen shot of everything. They are a Panama Company I have no Idea were the chat people are located. I went to Best Buy and they replaced the unit with one phone call credited my credit card and sent me a new Package. Buy the unit from Best Buy they stand behind there products
